Privacy Policy — Taboo: No Friends Edition

This Privacy Policy describes how the Taboo: No Friends Edition mobile application (the "App"), published by Deruvish Labs, LLC ("we", "our", "us"), collects, uses, and protects personal information.

Information We Collect

Device Identifier

When you use the App, an anonymous device identifier (device ID) is generated. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or any account information.

Player Information

  • Nickname: A display name you choose for the leaderboard.
  • Game statistics: Score, correct guess count, pass count, total cards played, game duration, game mode, and language preference.

Purchase Data

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We only store the product identifier, transaction identifier, and subscription status (active, cancelled, or expired). We do not have access to your credit card or payment details.

AI Mode Data

When you use AI mode, the clues you type are sent to our server and to the Google Gemini API. Responses are cached for up to 1 hour and then deleted. This data is not stored permanently.

Advertising Data

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID), device information, and approximate location data. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Data Stored Only on Your Device

Game settings (timer duration, language, haptic feedback, dark mode), custom dictionary cards, and your package list are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat — Subscription management and payment verification
  • Google AdMob — Advertisement delivery
  • Google Gemini API — AI mode guessing engine
  • Supabase — Database hosting
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store — App distribution and payment processing

Data Retention

  • Leaderboard data: Retained as long as your account/device is active.
  • Purchase records: 5–10 years, in line with legal requirements.
  • AI mode clues: Cached for a maximum of 1 hour, then deleted.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Under applicable privacy laws, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To submit a request, email contact@deruvishlabs.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date.
